Some folks have asked me why I package to sell some of my AI related work as 96 dpi rather than the 300 dpi I usually offer with my artwork and created graphics. I realise this is what most folks are used to, and I want to share this video I found which explains a confusion many people have.
It will also help you understand why I choose to allow you to make the custom changes on the commercial use graphics I generate, in a nutshell, the less I manipulate the image before you get access to it, the clearer it will be for you to manipulate with your choice of editors, whether that be photoshop or Affinity, or simply because you might only be using it for web related images. I leave the choice to you, the consumer.
Granted I do at times take the extra step to change or manipulate some of the generated images myself, but as mentioned, I can offer some of these at a better price to you, if I let you create the way you want, without me manipulating the outcome.
So on to this video from Tony, I think he explains it perfectly.
